In kindergarten, Emily’s music teacher could tell she was something special. During her first music class, she was singled out and told to “sing like yourself.” Emily has been following that advice ever since. Over the next 6 years, Emily performed with the Lake Forest Children’s Theatre in shows such as Fiddler on the Roof, Peter Pan, Music Man, Bye Bye Birdy and was a stand-out in the lead role of “Oliver.” She was one of seven children featured in the Northwestern University’s Dolphin Show production of Gypsy. She was also the female lead in the Braeside Opera production of A Noteworthy Tale as well as being one of the fortunate few chosen to perform with Eileen Boevers Traveling Troupe at the Apple Tree Theater.

Emily auditioned and got her first vocal solo in second grade and went on to become one of the premier child soloists on the North Shore of Chicago. A highlight for Emily was when she was asked to sing the Star Spangled Banner for her entire school during a spirit assembly last year.

Emily has been writing poetry since the age of 5. Her love for music and writing along with managing her busy schedule has helped her transition into the prolific songwriter she is today. From singing her own melody and lyrics at age 5 in the kitchen to collaborating in the studio at age 12 with some of the worlds finest musicians, Emily is destined for success.

Now 14, Emily continues to work on new material every day with the goal of one day being able to share her music with her peers around the world.
